Discussion for European Foundations: Influence, advocacy and the role of public engagement for ambitious climate action

To coincide with the European launch of the International Philanthropy Commitment on Climate Change by Dafne’s Philanthropy Coalition for Climate, we are bringing funders together to share what each of us is doing to enable broad-based public engagement and amplify the voices of frontline communities in encouraging more ambitious action on climate.

Co-hosted with the IKEA Foundation and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the discussion will provide an opportunity to come together and share what each of us is doing to enable broad-based public engagement and amplify the voices of frontline communities in encouraging more ambitious action on climate. The discussion will be stimulated by two distinguished speakers:

  • George Marshall, Founder of Climate Outreach and author of Don’t Even Think About It: Why Our Brains Are Wired to Ignore Climate Change; and
  • Johanna Leffler, Executive Director at the Clean Economy Fund in Canada.

This event is by invitation only.
